How Far Is A Fighter's Body And Spirit Willing To Push
A lot of people think that fighters are these arrogant, egotistical bullies
Who thinks they’re better than everyone else in a fight
Then they see people like David Goggins and Mike Tyson at the heights of their careers talking about how they are the greatest people to ever live
And this belief only gets stronger, but…
What they don’t see is the same people at the depths of their career
After they have lost a fight
When they’re fat and lazy
Or when they are still building that unshaken confidence
Because nobody is born with confidence like this
It can only be gained by pushing your body to the absolute limit
What is THE LIMIT?
A lot of people talk about this absolute limit…
But what is the limit?
How far can you go?
And how do you know once you have reached it?
To be honest I don’t think you ever reach the limit
Because theoretically if you can still walk then you still have energy that could have been used in the workout
Meaning the limit is when your body actually gives up and you either pass out or injure yourself
But obviously, we don’t want that to happen, So the truth is…
You can never really get to THE LIMIT
But this game of everyone pushing themself is actually to see who can get the closest to the limit
Without falling off the edge.
How do you get to the edge?
This is an easy question because everyone will tell you the same thing but…
Everyone is RIGHT
First, you find your ‘why’
Then you set up a plan
Then you take action until your goal becomes a reality
But the HOW isn’t really important because it doesnt matter how much planning you do
You just have to take action
Keep going
And don’t let yourself stop
Especially in those moments when you are in the middle and you can’t see the end
Even though you have come so far from the beginning, you need to just push through and stay CONSISTENT for long enough
Until you finally see the finish line
People Who Got The Closest To The Edge
The biggest problem I see is that everyone wants to believe they are at the edge
And tell everyone around them that they are at the edge
Despite the fact that they still haven’t even stepped foot out of their comfort zone
So here are a few examples of what ‘getting close to the edge’ really looks like…
